More Information
Phone signal and internet services can be limited in the outback—here are some tips to help you stay connected and informed.
There are two free Wi-Fi spots in the area: Welcome Shelter near Hamersley Gorge (-22.255797, 117.980331) Rest Stop at the corner of Karijini Drive and Great Northern Highway (-22.667711, 118.699239)
Phone reception towers are located at the Karijini Eco Retreat, Karijini Visitor Centre, and Dales Gorge Campgrounds. The Mt Bruce car park also has good reception for some carriers. Telstra and Optus generally provide the best coverage, though service cannot be guaranteed.
There are no ATMs in Karijini National Park, so we highly recommend bringing cash. Both the Karijini Visitor Centre and Karijini Eco Retreat have EFTPOS facilities for their products and services. The Karijini Experience will also have limited EFTPOS facilities for ticket and merchandise sales, but we suggest having cash on hand as communication can be unreliable in the park.
